Se utilizan particularmente sus hojas y flores las cuales tiene una combinaci\u00f3n de color blanco y violeta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Es end\u00e9mica de M\u00e9xico se distribuye principalmente en el centro del pa\u00eds, en los estados de Morelos, Tlaxcala, Estado de M\u00e9xico y Puebla. Otros nombres populares que tiene esta planta son: toronjil de casa, toronji, tama, y pinkil entre otros.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Es tradicionalmente empleada en la medicina natural para tratar los nervios y la depresi\u00f3n por su efecto calmante y antioxidante. Tambi\u00e9n tiene propiedades sedantes, calor\u00edficas, anti-f\u00fangicas, anti-bacteriano, antibi\u00f3tico, antidepresivo, analg\u00e9sico y anticonvulsivo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Es rica en acacetina y tilianina, flavonoides de gran actividad antiinflamatoria, los cuales evitan el enrojecimiento de la piel resultado de estados de estr\u00e9s psicol\u00f3gico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Otra de sus propiedades es su capacidad para disminuir la inflamaci\u00f3n celular.
