El Muicle (Justicia spicigera) es una especie de planta acuática perteneciente a la familia de las acantáceas. Es un arbusto que llega a mediar hasta 2m de alto con flores de color rojo colgando del tallo.
Es nativa de México crece tanto en el sureste del país: Chiapas y Quintana Roo, como en el centro: Morelos y en el valle de México. También se le puede encontrar en Centro América.
El muicle contiene carbohidratos, mucílagos, pectinas, glucósidos, pigmentos, resinas, aceites esenciales, minerales potasio, calcio y sodio.
